Besides interested generally in Japanese civilization, especially in Japanese art. He has introduced unknown before in Greece topics, namely the Buddhist Art, Nihonga, Shin Hanga e.a. He has done translations from Japanese literature, namely from Shiga Naoya, Ueda Akinari, Abe Kobo, Osamu Dazai. His publications include \u201cDeities and the World in the Cosmogony of Kojiki\u201d, \u201cTrue Reality in the Work of Dogen\u201d, \u201cA History of the Art of Japanese Buddhism\u201d, \u201cHinduism \u2013 A Historical Introduction\u201d, \u201cBuddhism \u2013 The Indian Period\u201d, \u201cOriental Religions\u201d e.a. Participations in many conferences, in Greece and abroad, as well as in research programs in Japanese universities and centers, like the International Center for Japanese Studies (Nichibunken) e.a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>A member of the European Association for Japanese Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2020 he was decorated by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette for his contribution in the development of the Japanese Studies in Greece.
