Artist and Researcher
Chloe Pare-Anastasiadou is a visual artist and researcher. Through writing, sculptural installations, and workshops, she explores stellar and geological cosmologies in scientific and local mythologies. Her practice is autoethnographic and processual, incorporating methods such as art practice inquiry and sensory transcription.
She studied Sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts and Berlin Weissensee Kunsthochschule. She completed a PhD in Global Arts—Art Studies and Curatorial Practices—at Tokyo University of the Arts as a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholar. Her doctoral research explored how the materiality of art workshops can communicate personal opinion and critical theory, drawing on posthuman feminist frameworks.
Aside from reading, writing, and making, she competitively fails in board games and joyfully consumes popular media and comedy. She loves going to caves and looking at rocks, and she finds stars on the floor—actions through which speculative universes become tactile experiences.
