Geology
After obtaining his Geology degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Vassilis Arvanitopoulos moved to Japan, where, as a scholarship recipient, he earned an MSc and a PhD in Seismology/Geophysics from Kobe University. There, he gained experience in natural hazard management and multicultural coexistence. In Greece, he worked in marketing, completed the xMBA at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and contributed to the development of team intelligence and human-resource empowerment according to the principles of Japanese TQM.
He has volunteered at the Kobe YMCA, the Kobe Universiade 1985, the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, and was a certified technical scuba diver in underwater archaeology with the Institute of Marine Archaeological Research (IENAE) and foreign institutions.
Fond of cooking and photography, he wishes to contribute to the redefinition of core values in his country.
Ο Βασίλης Αρβανιτόπουλος μετά το πτυχίο Γεωλογίας από το ΕΚΠΑ, μετέβη στην Ιαπωνία όπου ως υπότροφος απέκτησε ΜSc και PhD στην Σεισμολογία/Γεωφυσική στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Kobe. Εκεί δημιούργησε εμπειρία στην διαχείριση φυσικών κινδύνων και στην πολυπολιτισμική συμβίωση. Στην Ελλάδα απασχολήθηκε στο μάρκετινγκ, απέκτησε το xMBA από το ΕΚΠΑ και συνέβαλε στην ανάπτυξη ομαδικής ευφυίας και ενδυνάμωσης ανθρώπινου δυναμικού σύμφωνα με τις αρχές του ιαπωνικού TQM.
Εθελοντής στο Kobe YMCA, στην Πανεπιστημιάδα Kobe 1985, στους Ολυμπιακούς Αθήνα 2004 και αυτοδύτης τεχνικός υποβρύχιας αρχαιολογίας με το ΙΕΝΑΕ και ξένους φορείς.
Επιρρεπής στη μαγειρική και στην φωτογραφία, επιθυμεί να συμβάλει στην επαναπροσδιορισμό αξιών στην χώρα του.
