Architect
Eleni Petouri is an Architect Engineer with 35 years of experience in architectural and urban design. She began her career in leading architectural firms and later founded her own practice, undertaking the design and supervision of private projects.
For the past 25 years, she has also served in the Technical Service of the Municipality of Markopoulo, acting as Head of the department (2020–2022) with responsibilities in urban planning, infrastructure projects, and the design of public buildings and open spaces.
She holds a degree from the School of Architecture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a postgraduate degree in “Design, Space, Culture” from the National Technical University of Athens. From 1991 to 1993 she was a Research Student at Kyoto University, as a scholar of the Japanese Embassy, expanding her theoretical and research background in design and in the cultural interpretation of space.
She actively participates in the activities of the Association of Architects, as well as in initiatives for the protection of the natural and built environment. She has attended seminars in philosophy and psychology, and in her free time practices tai chi, explores fabric painting, and follows developments in contemporary art, continually seeking new forms of creative expression.
Η Ελένη Πετούρη είναι Αρχιτέκτονας Μηχανικός με 35 χρόνια εμπειρίας στον αρχιτεκτονικό και πολεοδομικό σχεδιασμό. Ξεκίνησε την επαγγελματική της πορεία σε γνωστά μελετητικά γραφεία και στη συνέχεια ίδρυσε το δικό της γραφείο, αναλαμβάνοντας μελέτες και επιβλέψεις ιδιωτικών έργων.
Εργάζεται επίσης επί 25 χρόνια στην Τεχνική Υπηρεσία του Δήμου Μαρκοπούλου, όπου διετέλεσε αναπληρώτρια προϊσταμένη (2020–2022), αναλαμβάνοντας αρμοδιότητες σε θέματα πολεοδομίας, έργων υποδομής και σχεδιασμού δημόσιων κτιρίων και υπαιθρίων χώρων.
Είναι απόφοιτος της Αρχιτεκτονικής Σχολής ΑΠΘ και κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου στον τομέα «Σχεδιασμός, Χώρος, Πολιτισμός» από το ΕΜΠ. Κατά την περίοδο 1991–1993 υπήρξε Research Student στο Kyoto University, ως υπότροφος της Ιαπωνικής Πρεσβείας, όπου διεύρυνε το θεωρητικό και ερευνητικό της υπόβαθρο στον σχεδιασμό και στην πολιτισμική προσέγγιση του χώρου.
Συμμετέχει ενεργά σε δράσεις του Συλλόγου Αρχιτεκτόνων, καθώς και σε πρωτοβουλίες για την προστασία του φυσικού και δομημένου περιβάλλοντος.. Έχει παρακολουθήσει σεμινάρια φιλοσοφίας και ψυχολογίας και στον ελεύθερο χρόνο της ασχολείται με tai chi chuan, ζωγραφική σε ύφασμα και παρακολουθεί τις εξελίξεις στην σύγχρονη τέχνη, αναζητώντας διαρκώς νέες μορφές δημιουργικής έκφρασης.
